I have told friends who happen to be doctors about them, and they are amazed to hear this product is on the market, and they didn't know about it. They work the same way that severe burn patients are treated, by creating an "artificial skin" on the wound that keeps oxygen out. They are virtually water proof, so you leave them on when you shower.
