INDICATIONS:
Alka-Seltzer Wake-Up Call Pain Reliever Effervescent Tablets, Citrus Flavor - For the temporary relief of minor aches and pains with fatigue or drowsiness associated with a hangover.
- Also effective for headaches, body aches and pains alone.
Alka-Seltzer Wake-Up Call delivers reliable hangover relief that takes the guesswork out of recovery. It is scientifically developed with a special combination of ingredients to relieve headaches and body pain, plus fight fatigue associated with hangovers.
INGREDIENTS:
Active Ingredients:
(in each tablet): Aspirin (500 mg) (Analgesic), Caffeine (65 mg) (Alertness aid/pain reliever aid).
Inactive Ingredients:
Acesulfame Potassium, Anhydrous Citric Acid, Aspartame, Calcium Silicate, Dimethylpolysiloxane, Docusate Sodium, Flavor, Mannitol, Povidone, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Bicarbonate.
DIRECTIONS:
- Adults and children 12 years and over: 2 tablets every 6 hours or as directed by a doctor. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Adults 60 years and over: 2 tablets every 6 hours, or as directed by a doctor. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children under 12 years: do not use.
Do not exceed recommended dosage. Do not use for more than 2 days for hangover. Fully dissolve 2 tablets in 4 ounces of water before taking.
WARNINGS:
Reyes Syndrome: Children and teenagers should not use this medicine for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye Syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. Allergy Alert: Aspirin may cause a severe allergic reaction which may include: hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), or shockAlcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take aspirin or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Aspirin may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use: if you are allergic to aspirin or any other pain reliever/fever reducer. Ask a doctor before use if you have: asthma, ulcers, bleeding problems, stomach problems that last or come back frequently such as heartburn, upset stomach, or pain. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are take a prescription drug for: anticoagulation (blood thinning), diabetes, gout, arthritis. When using this product: Limit the use of caffeine-containing medications, foods or beverages because too much caffeine may cause nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, and occasionally, rapid heart beat. The recommended dose of this product contains about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. If fatigue or drowsiness persists or continues to recur, consult a doctor. Not intended for use as a substitute for sleep. Stop use and ask a doctor if: An allergic reaction occurs. Seek medical help right away. Pain gets worse or lasts for more than 10 days. New symptoms occur. Ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs. Redness or swelling is present. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Other Information: Each tablet contains: sodium 415 mg. Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine 9 mg per tablet. |
