DIRECTIONS:
Warm the Nair Pretty Glitter Wax strip by massaging it between your hands. Slowly pull the double-sided strip apart. Now you have two wax strips that can be used. | | | | Customer Reviews | | |  | This Stuff is Great for Bikini Line! | | I am 17 years old and have never had a big problem with being particularly hairy down there. However, this year I put on my new bikini and was annoyed to find that my hair had migrated out a bit. Enough that I needed to get rid of it if I wanted to go out swimming in my new bikini.
A lot of girls at my school said that shaving their bikini line gives them razor burn and bumps, and I did not want that. I have pretty sensitive skin to begin with and get razor burn on my legs no matter what I do. So I figured that my bikini line would be no exception to my skin sensitivity. I decided to try waxing, and not nair, because nair gives me a rash.
I have never waxed any area of my body before, and I was a little bit nervous. I found this product in my Rite Aid for $7.00, and so I bought it. I followed the directions, applied the wax, and prepared to die from pain.
I am a big baby about pain. I actually considered taking some ibuprofen to numb the pain, but we were out of pains meds at home, and I didn't want to go back to the drug store. A lot of people would recommend using pain medicene when waxing, and I think if you are worried about the pain, go for it.
So, back to the waxing. I warmed the strip between my hands, applied it towards the direction of the hair growth and ran over it with my hand in that direction. Then, I pulled it back in the opposite direction of my hair growth and was shocked. It hurt about the same as getting my eyebrows done, maybe even a little bit less. At first I thought that I couldn't have gotten all of the hair, since it barely hurt, but I had gotten it all! I finished up my bikini line and was very satisfied.
The only side effects were basically that I did have a few of my pores bleed, but it wasn't bad at all. It was less blood that the smallest nick when shaving. My skin was cherry red afterwards, also, but it didn't itch or hurt or anything. The next day I did still have some redness, so I wouldn't recommend using the product immediately before going out in that new bikini.
I do not have any unwanted facial hair, so I do not know how it works for faces. However, for the bikini line, it's definately a keeper! It worked on my skin, and I love it!
