Diurex Water Pills act as a gentle diuretic to help promptly increase the outflow of temporary excess body water; relieve monthly water weight gain, puffiness, bloat, swelling, pressure caused cramps, related fatigue, tension, blues and irritability; plus Diurex contains two pain relieving ingredients including potassium salicylate to help relieve menstrual associated pain and discomforts of cramps, spasms, backache, headache, breast tenderness, muscular aches and pains due to overexertion, stress and strain.

Caffeine (50 mg) (Diuretic), Magnesium Salicylate (162.5 mg) (Analgesic).

Inactive Ingredients

Acacia, Calcium Carbonate, Corn Starch, Crospovidone, Dicalcium Phosphate, FD&C Blue 1 Lake, Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Maltodextrin, Methylene Blue, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mineral Oil, Polyethylene Glycol, Polysorbate, Shellac, Silica, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Stearic Acid, Talc, Titanium Dioxide, Triacetin.

DIRECTIONS:

Adults: Two pills every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed eight pills per day. Start taking 5 or 6 days before onset of period and continue until desired relief is obtained or end of period. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. It is for use by normally healthy adults only. The appearance of blue-tinted urine, which may occur after taking Diurex Water Pills, is a normal and temporary effect.

Contents Sealed: Each Diurex blue colored, round shaped pill bears the identifying mark Alva and is sealed in a clear plastic blister with a foil backing. Do not use if seal appears broken or if product contents do not match product description.

WARNINGS:

Reyes Syndrome: Children and teenagers should not use this product for chicken pox or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reyes Syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. Alcohol:If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take magnesium salicylate or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Magnesium salicylate may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use if you are allergic to salicylates (including aspirin).

Ask a doctor before use if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (thinning of the blood), diabetes, gout or arthritis, have impaired kidney function, have stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach or stomach pain) that persist or recur, have ulcers or bleeding problems or are under 18 years of age.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking any other medications. When using this product, limit the use of caffeine-containing medications, foods or beverages because too much caffeine may cause: nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, occasional rapid heartbeat. The recommended dose of this product contains about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. Stop use and ask a doctor if ringing in the ears or hearing loss occurs, symptoms last for more than ten consecutive days.

If pregnant or breast-feeding ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
