INDICATIONS:
TheraFlu Thin Medicated Strips temporarily relieves Nasal congestion and Cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation associated with a cold. Nasal Decongestant (Phenylephrine). Cough Suppressant (Dextromethorphan).
INGREDIENTS: Active Ingredients: In each strip : Dextromethorphan (14. 8mg, Cough Suppressant), Phenylephrine HCl (10mg, Nasal Decongestant). Inactive Ingredients: Acetone, Alcohol, FD&C Red 40, Flavor, Hypromellose, Mannitol, Polacrilin, Polyethylene Glycol, Polyethylene Oxide, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, Sucralose, Water.
DIRECTIONS: To open enclosed packet, fold along dotted line and tear at slit. Peel back foil to expose product. Store at controlled room temperature 68 - 77F. Adults and children 12 years of age and over : allow 1 strip to dissolve on tongue every 4 hours as needed. Do not exceed 6 Medicated Strips in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years of age : ask a doctor.
WARNINGS: If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health care professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Do not use if sealed packet in carton is open, torn or broken.
Do not use : If you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving this product. With any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin.
Ask a doctor before use if you have : Heart disease. High blood pressure. Thyroid disease. Diabetes. Trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland. Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus). Cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema.
Stop use and ask a doctor if : Nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occurs. Symptoms do not improve within 7 days or occur with a fever. New symptoms occur. Cough persists for more than 7 days, or occurs with rash, or headache that last. These could be signs of a serious condition.
