The Protec Cleaning Cartridge features a patented antimicrobial, called Aquastat, to continually inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and mold in the cartridge. The cleaning cartridge prevents the buildup of mineral deposits in your humidifier. In addition the Protec Cleaning Cartridge provides peace of mind that the mist is fresh and clean.

The Protec Cleaning Cartridge cleaning beads are preserved with the same antimicrobial that has been used for years in the food and drinking water industry to prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria enabling the beads to keep cleaning for up to 30 days.
The Protec Humidifier Tank Cleaning Cartridge is antimicrobially treated to help prevent the growth and migration of mold, fungus, algae and odor-causing bacteria in the cartridge only. Protec does not protect users or others from bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease organisms.
