INDICATIONS: Comtrex Maximum Strength Non-Drowsy Cold & Cough Relief Caplets temporary relief of the following symptoms: - headache.
- sore throat pain.
- cough.
- minor aches and pains.
- nasal congestion.
- temporarily reduces fever.
INGREDIENTS: Active Ingredients: Acetaminophen 325mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), Dextromethorphan HBr 10mg (cough suppressant), Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg (nasal decongestant).
Inactive Ingredients: Benzoic Acid, Carnauba Wax, Corn Starch, D&C Yellow 10 Lake, FD&C Red 40 Lake, Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Polyethylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Stearic Acid, Titanium Dioxide.
DIRECTIONS: Do not use more than directed (see overdose warning). Adults and Children 12 years of age and over: take 2 caplets every 4 hours, while symptoms persist. Do not use more than 12 caplets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years of age: consult a doctor.
WARNINGS: Do not use if foil seal is torn or broken. Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Sore Throat Warning: If sore throat is severe or persistent, is accompanied or followed by high fever, headache, nausea, or vomiting consult a doctor promptly. Do not use for more than 2 days or give to children under 3 years of age unless directed by a doctor. Overdose warning: Taking more than the recommended dose can cause serious health problems. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms. Do not use: For nor than 7 days. With any other products containing acetaminophen. (See overdose Warning). Ask a doctor before use if you have: cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus) chronic cough that lasts or as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers. When using this product do not use more than directed. When using nighttime product: excitability may occur, especially in children may cause drowsiness alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness avoid alcoholic drinks be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery Keep out of reach of children.
